More than 6% of America's landfill is textiles, which can take forever to decompose. 11 million tons of textiles are added to landfills each year.  I love taking fabric, (often menswear samples and remnants) that would otherwise be thrown out and handmaking beautiful, luxurious accessories 

I've been sewing as a hobby for 32 years; as I retire from my professional career, I am exploring new creative opportunities and learning new skills

 I get my inspiration from creative reuse of menswear fabrics - silk, woven wool, long-staple cotton
